All men experience changes in their sexual responses as they grow older. Some of the changes they may notice include taking longer to achieve an erection, experiencing erections that aren’t as firm as they once were, and needing more stimulation to get hard than they used to. Add the distress of being diagnosed with prostrate cancer to these normal changes and sex won’t be “business as usual,” especially when the effects of the various treatments for this cancer are factored in. These changes don’t mean that a man’s sex life is over, but they do mean that he and his partner are going to have to communicate more than ever about their sexual life.
