In our enlightened age, talking about “women’s work” or saying, “That’s a man’s job” could label one a Neanderthal! Couples interested in a better sex life, however, may want to re-think that attitude. A recent study indicates that couples, whether young or old, who divide the household chores along more traditional lines have more sex per month than couples who don’t. Research shows that couples spend about 34 hours a week on “female” chores and 17 hours each week on chores traditionally done by men. Men, however, only do about one-fifth of women’s work and a little more than half of men’s work.
