Condom makers Trojan and Durex have expanded their product lines to include vibrators, and grocery stores, pharmacies, and supercenters are making room on their shelves for them. CVS, Walgreens, Kroger, Safeway, Target, and Walmart are some of the national chains that are selling these items. Bruce Weiss, Vice-President of marketing for Trojan, said, “People are more comfortable than ever talking about vibrators and the idea of having one.” During the first quarter of 2012, $4.4 million worth of vibrators were sold, an increase of about 14% over the first quarter of last year. Even though many people use them, some wonder if they should be buying them at retail stores.
